The Solent
The sheltered waters of the Solent provide the best location in the UK for sailing events with largely consistant wind and water conditions.  Protected by the Isle of Wight, sailing conditions are ideal with flat seas and steady south westerly winds.

Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth
Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth is Red Sky's preferred port in the Solent.  Berths at Gunwharf Quays are ideal for tall ships to moor and the ships make a fantastic back drop to the bars and restaurants that line the waterfront. Gunwharf also offers excellent facilities to Red Sky’s customers with easy transport links, parking, hotels, shopping and entertainment.

Gunwharf Quays is home to the stunning Spinnaker Tower offering superb views over the Solent. And close by the Historic Dockyard provides enthralling entertainment for all ages with tours of HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, the Mary Rose and much more besides.

Royal Clarence Marina, Gosport
Situated across Portsmouth Harbour from Gunwharf Quays is Royal Clarence Marina which is also suitable for tall ships.  This attractive marina officers free parking and good facilities close to the town centre.  Gosport can be access either by road from the M27 or by ferry from Portsmouth.

Southampton Docks
Berths are available in Southampton though here the ships need to use the huge docks designed for the super-sized cruise ships making access on board less easy at low tide.  Red Sky would be pleased to discuss the options available.
